Circle Unveils Agent Stack as Key Infrastructure for AI-Driven Economy
Circle has taken its USDC-centric Agent Stack to UC Berkeley's Agentic AI Summit, touting it as a key infrastructure for a world where AI systems autonomously buy and sell services.
The Agent Stack is a toolkit that enables developers to build programmable USDC wallets, connect these systems to services, and handle settlement layers. The system was demonstrated with a workflow showing an AI agent purchasing a phone number for 5 USDC, making a voice call, and settling the cost at 0.133 USDC without human intervention.
Nikhil Chandhok, Circle's Chief Product and Technology Officer, spoke about building infrastructure for what he called the 'Agentic Economy'. The summit drew over 5,000 attendees with a global livestream.
