Circle's Chief Product and Technology Officer Nikhil Chandhok recently addressed concerns about USDC thefts on Arc, explaining that the network does not roll back transactions. This stance is a deliberate design choice to maintain trust in blockchain technology.

Arc distributes its consensus responsibilities across over 20 validators, ensuring no single entity has authority to reverse a transaction. Chandhok emphasized that this structure is necessary for maintaining public blockchain infrastructure's integrity.

Circle's USDC operates under a freeze mechanism, which allows Circle to blacklist addresses at law enforcement's request. However, this capability exists at the token level and does not impact Arc's immutability.
