Circle's EURC Stablecoin Listed on Upbit with Three Trading Pairs
Circle's euro-backed stablecoin EURC has landed on South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Upbit. The token is now available for trading through three separate markets: KRW-EURC, BTC-EURC, and USDT-EURC.
The listing comes as part of Circle's broader expansion efforts, including its recent $400 million all-stock acquisition of payments firm Tazapay. EURC is fully backed and redeemable 1:1 for euros, with monthly reserve attestations published for transparency.
At the time of writing, EURC circulation stood at approximately €402.3 million ($466.8 million), with a global market capitalization near $465.25 million. The token's price was trading at around $1.16 against the US dollar, reflecting the prevailing euro-dollar exchange rate.
Operational details such as launch timing, supported deposit and withdrawal networks, fees, and eligibility rules remain unverified against an official Upbit notice.
