Circle's EURC Surpasses €400 Million Circulation Milestone
Circle's euro-pegged stablecoin, EURC, has reached a significant milestone: it has surpassed €400 million in circulation. This growth represents more than a 100% increase over the past year.
The surge in EURC supply comes as Circle expands its use across blockchains, exchanges, and payment networks. The company's efforts have made it easier for users to move and use euro-denominated digital money.
Circle stock price (CRCL) rose 4.15% on August 17, closing at $74.59. This increase follows the announcement of EURC's milestone circulation value. The CRCL stock price has also seen a 3% gain in the trailing five-day period, according to Google Finance data.
The company attributes EURC's growth to stronger demand for regulated euro liquidity across crypto and traditional financial workflows today. Circle is looking to serve uses such as settlement, foreign exchange, and treasury work with its euro stablecoin.
