Circle's Top Financial Officer Steps Down After Historic IPO
Circle Internet Group's Chief Financial Officer Jeremy Fox-Geen will leave his position in December after five years at the cryptocurrency platform. He played a key role in building Circle and helped shepherd it through its $1.05 billion initial public offering (IPO) in June 2025, which valued the company at around $8 billion.
According to the company's statement, Fox-Geen will continue to serve as CFO until December 31 or the appointment of a successor and will receive his current base salary of $500,000 during this period. He will also receive an aggregate cash payment of $1.05 million after his resignation date.
Circle has engaged an executive search firm to assist with its search for a permanent successor. The company's board was reduced from eight to seven members following the departure of co-founder P. Sean Neville, who stepped down due to personal reasons and outside commitments related to his work as CEO and co-founder of AI product company Catena Lab.
