Citi Boosts Bitcoin, Ethereum Price Targets Amid Resurgent Crypto Market
Citigroup (Citi) has revised its 12-month price targets for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) upwards, reflecting stronger market activity and a more supportive macroeconomic backdrop. The firm raised its price target on Bitcoin to $113,000 from $82,000, an increase of roughly 38%, while lifting its price target on Ethereum to $3,028 from $2,240.
The new targets mark a reversal from two cuts Citi made earlier in 2026, with the firm initially setting a $143,000 Bitcoin price target before cutting it to $112,000 in March and then to $82,000 in July. The latest forecast remains below Bitcoin's October 2025 record above $126,000.
Citi attributed the revised targets to the resumption of exchange-traded fund (ETF) inflows, with the firm expecting roughly $5 billion of inflows over the next 12 months for spot U.S. BTC ETFs. This follows $875.91 million in net inflows so far this year and approximately $3.26 billion over the past 12 months through September 2026.
