Citi Boosts Crypto Price Targets to Record Highs
Citi, the US-based multinational investment bank and financial services corporation, has raised its price targets for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH). The revised targets come on the heels of a market recovery in interest, a weaker U.S. dollar, and U.S. Treasury buybacks of long-term debt. Citi now predicts that BTC will reach $113,000 by this time next year, up from its previous target of $82,000.
The bank also increased its 12-month price target for Ether to $3,028 from the previous estimate of $2,240.
Citi cited several factors supporting a potential increase in digital asset prices. These include market interest, a weaker U.S. dollar, and Treasury buybacks of long-term debt.
