Citi Sees $113,000 Bitcoin and $3,028 Ether Targets Amid ETF and Macro Buoys
Citi, a prominent financial institution, has raised its price targets for Bitcoin and Ether, pointing to renewed institutional demand and a more supportive macroeconomic environment.
The bank increased its Bitcoin target to $113,000 from $82,000 and raised its Ether forecast to $3,028 from $2,240, indicating substantial increases in both projections.
Citi expects cryptocurrency investment flows to return at a slower but more consistent pace, with about $5 billion in crypto inflows forecasted over the next 12 months.
The revised outlook comes as Bitcoin and Ether have staged a strong three-month rebound, with Bitcoin gaining nearly 40% and Ether rising about 68% during this period.
Citi's forecast puts particular weight on the role of ETF demand, expecting flows to resume gradually rather than return in a sudden surge.
Regulatory uncertainty remains a constraint, with the US Senate failing to advance the Clarity Act, legislation intended to establish a broader regulatory framework for digital assets.
