Citigroup Lifts One-Year Bitcoin Forecast to $113,000
Citigroup has raised its one-year Bitcoin forecast to $113,000, citing renewed interest in cryptocurrencies and more favorable market sentiment.
The investment bank's new target is up from $82,000, and comes after a year of stagnant or declining prices for Bitcoin. The cryptocurrency fell from a high of $124,000 in October 2025 to a low of $58,000 in June, but has since rebounded.
Citigroup attributes the price surge to several factors, including the U.S. Treasury Department's decision to buy back longer-dated bonds and a weakening U.S. dollar. The investment bank also notes that demand for crypto-backed exchange-traded funds will fuel the price increase, with inflows reaching $5 billion over the next year.
