Citigroup Sets $113,000 Bitcoin Target, $3,028 Ethereum Target
Citigroup has updated its 12-month price targets for both Bitcoin and Ethereum, with Bitcoin set at $113,000 and Ethereum at $3,028.
These forecasts imply different levels of potential growth, with Bitcoin's target suggesting a 31% increase and Ethereum's an 11% rise.
Bitcoin currently trades around $85,975, while Ethereum trades at about $2,730.
Citigroup raised its Bitcoin and Ethereum targets by similar amounts, about 38% and 35% respectively, following a July 1 cut when it pegged Bitcoin at $82,000 and Ethereum at $2,240.
The current price levels are a main reason for the difference in upside, with Ethereum having skyrocketed about 53% in the last 90 days, while Bitcoin has increased around 33%.
Citigroup's focus on ETF inflows, which consistently favor Bitcoin, also reinforces its view.
