The defeat of the legislation sent leading virtual asset prices tumbling, Bitcoin and Ether both fell sharply on the news. Bitcoin market prices were visible on the electronic board at the Bithumb Lounge Gangnam branch in Seocho-gu, Seoul, on Wednesday morning.
