CLARITY Act Failure Sparks Regulatory Uncertainty for Bitcoin
The U.S. Senate's failure to advance the CLARITY Act has created regulatory uncertainty for Bitcoin, causing it to slide back to the $75,000 support zone and resulting in a >5% intraday drop.
The Senate rejected cloture on H.R. 3633 by 49-50 votes, falling short of the three-fifths threshold required to advance the bill. This setback adds pressure to an already weak market, with Bitcoin facing its second test at $75K support in a week.
The failed vote also led to $660.4 million in liquidations, including $558.03 million in longs, resetting leveraged exposure and signaling short-term downside risk for crypto markets.
