CLARITY Act Falls Flat in New York Crypto Regulatory Landscape

Share

New York's crypto regulator, CLARITY Act, has been signed into law, but according to the Department of Financial Services (DFS), it will have no significant impact on the industry.

In an interview, Adrienne Harris, New York State Department of Financial Services Superintendent, stated that 'nothing changes' after the enactment of the CLARITY Act. She explained that the new law is primarily focused on clarifying existing regulations and providing more transparency in the crypto space.

The DFS has been actively engaged with the industry to ensure a smooth transition and compliance with the new regulations. Harris emphasized the importance of maintaining a collaborative approach between regulators and market participants.
