CLARITY Act Passage Could Send Bitcoin Price to $200,000, But Analysts Warn of Seven Roadblocks

Bitcoin's price could potentially reach $200,000 if the CLARITY Act becomes law, according to some analysts. This outcome is far from guaranteed, however, as seven roadblocks currently stand between the bill and a Senate vote.

The CLARITY Act would determine which US agency polices crypto, but it has been stuck in the Senate since June 1 without a vote. Research firm FM Intelligence predicts that Bitcoin's price could reach $200,000 with a one-in-four probability, but only if the bill is signed before the November midterms.

The biggest driver of potential price increases would be the new structural demand enabled by the bill, including more ETF inflows, corporate treasury buying, and banks offering Bitcoin services. This could lead to a roughly tripling of Bitcoin's current market value, which sits at around $64,671.
