CLARITY Act Still Has a Path to Passage, Despite Delays
The CLARITY Act, aimed at clarifying the regulatory status of digital assets, may still become law despite recent delays that have reduced its chances, according to Justin Slaughter, former U.S. SEC counsel and current vice president of regulatory affairs at Paradigm.
Slaughter noted in a post on X that while the delay has significantly diminished the bill's odds, it should not be completely ruled out. He pointed to a short Senate window in the third week of September as a potential opportunity for the bill to be handled.
The industry must continue to work to win support from policymakers and elite media, Slaughter emphasized, highlighting that Washington policy remains heavily influenced by the press, and many conservative opinion leaders still view crypto with skepticism.
