CLARITY Act Vote Delayed Until September as Senate Fails to Reach Agreement

The U.S. Senate has delayed a procedural vote on the CLARITY Act until September due to unresolved issues and a lack of agreement before the August recess.

The bipartisan crypto market structure bill has been in development for nearly a year, with lawmakers, regulators, banks, and crypto companies making compromises throughout the process.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated that the remaining question is no longer whether additional compromises can be reached, but whether the Senate is prepared to bring the legislation to a vote.
