Clearpool Migration to XRP Ledger Approved as XRP Holds Key Support
XRP traded at $1.49 on October 6, reflecting a slight 1.5% decline over 24 hours. The market is weighing the impact of Clearpool's planned migration to the XRP Ledger (XRPL), which was approved by 97% of participating voters. The move, set for Q4 2026, involves a 1:1 migration from Ethereum-based CPOOL to a new CLEAR token on XRPL. Clearpool's collaboration with Ripple and Cicada Partners aims to expand credit infrastructure, with Ripple acting as a limited partner providing capital.
The proposed credit pools will issue working-capital loans in RLUSD, Ripple’s dollar-pegged stablecoin. Clearpool describes this as its first institutional credit product using RLUSD on XRPL. Despite the positive vote, XRP's price response has been muted, indicating that the market is awaiting concrete evidence of lending activity and network demand before reacting more strongly.
For the near-term XRP price forecast, $1.38 is a key support level. If it holds, XRP could test $1.61, marking its first real breakout in months. A drop below $1.38 would weaken the setup, potentially bringing the $1.25 range floor or the $1.00, $1.20 area into view. Lower supports are cited at $0.92 and $0.70. Ripple President Monica Long separately mentioned plans for a credit service backed by XRP as collateral in 2027, another milestone to watch.
Clearpool's migration adds credibility to XRPL's institutional-credit narrative, but the market remains cautious. The upside case for XRP hinges on actual RLUSD credit-vault launches, disclosed loan volume, and institutional participation. Operational proof will matter more than the governance vote alone.
