CME Adds BCH and UNI Futures as Crypto Derivatives Push Continues
CME Group is expanding its lineup of crypto derivatives by adding Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Uniswap (UNI) futures on October 19, pending regulatory review. The exchange will offer standard and Micro contracts for both assets, providing investors with more flexibility to manage price risk.
The addition of BCH and UNI futures brings the total number of single-asset crypto derivatives offered by CME to ten. These include futures on Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche, and Sui. The exchange's crypto product lead, Giovanni Vicioso, emphasized the importance of regulated tools for navigating evolving digital asset-related price risk.
CME reported a significant increase in daily volume for its crypto futures and options in the first half of 2026, averaging 279,800 contracts per day with a notional value of $8.3 billion. The expansion into other altcoin futures has generated over $1 billion in notional value.
