CME Bolsters Crypto Derivatives with BCH and Uniswap Futures Launch
CME Group's expansion into regulated cryptocurrency derivatives continues to gain momentum as it adds Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Uniswap (UNI) futures. These new contracts will join a lineup that already includes popular assets like Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche, and Sui.
The move is seen as significant for the broader crypto market, providing institutional-grade risk-management tools across liquid altcoin markets. BCH and UNI will be available in both standard and Micro futures contracts, with sizes ranging from 250 BCH to 25 BCH and 10,000 UNI to 1,000 UNI.
The CME announcement sent BCH prices surging by 19.31% on September 22, pushing it above $320 for the first time since August. Uniswap, which has already gained around 60% from its September low, rose 7.04% on the same day.
