CME Futures Spark 30% Bitcoin Cash Price Surge
The price of Bitcoin Cash has surged by nearly 30% after CME Group announced its plans to launch regulated Bitcoin Cash futures. This move pushed BCH through a descending trendline that had capped rallies for months, causing trading volume to surge sharply as the token reclaimed the $340 level.
CME's announcement on October 19, subject to regulatory review, will offer standard contracts representing 250 BCH alongside Micro contracts covering 25 BCH. The listing gives professional traders a regulated instrument for hedging and directional exposure without requiring direct spot ownership.
The CME announcement supplied the catalyst for a decisive move through both structures, clearing the descending trendline and the $300-$310 resistance zone. BCH is now trading around $350-$355, with the next major resistance visible on the daily chart sitting around $430-$450, where it previously spent months consolidating.
A sustained move above $350 would keep the breakout structure intact and bring $430-$450 into focus. Clearing that region would expose the much larger $680-$720 resistance band near the previous cycle highs.
