CME Group Adds BCH and UNI Futures Amid Strong Client Demand
CME Group will add Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures to its crypto derivatives lineup on October 19, pending regulatory review. The offering includes standard and Micro contracts for both assets. For Bitcoin Cash, this means a contract size of 250 BCH and a Micro contract of 25 BCH. Uniswap futures will have two sizes as well: 10,000 UNI for the standard contract and 1,000 UNI for the Micro contract.
This expansion comes in response to strong client demand for regulated risk management tools across high-liquidity altcoin markets. The company's crypto derivatives lineup already includes Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche, and Sui futures.
The new contracts are designed to provide greater versatility and capital efficiency, allowing clients to manage price risk and gain exposure to key crypto networks within the 24/7 regulated marketplace. CME Group's H1 2026 crypto futures and options average daily volume was 279,800 contracts ($8.3 billion notional), with an average open interest of 264,600 contracts ($15.4 billion notional).
