CME Group Adds Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap Futures Contracts
CME Group has announced plans to launch futures contracts for Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap on October 19, pending regulatory review. This expansion comes in response to client demand for regulated tools in high-liquidity altcoin markets.
The exchange will offer both standard and Micro contract sizes for each asset: Bitcoin Cash futures will represent 250 BCH per contract, with Micro contracts covering 25 BCH, while Uniswap futures will track 10,000 UNI and Micro Uniswap contracts will represent 1,000 UNI.
Giovanni Vicioso, CME Group's Global Head of Cryptocurrency Products, stated that the launch 'responds to direct client demand' and provides participants with broader, regulated tools to navigate evolving digital asset-related price risk.
The addition of these new assets builds on CME's existing cryptocurrency derivatives lineup, which currently includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche, and Sui. The newer altcoin additions have proven particularly active, with futures alone generating over $1 billion in combined notional trading value during 2026.
