CME Group Adds Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap Futures to Crypto Lineup
CME Group is expanding its crypto derivatives lineup by adding Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures contracts on October 19, pending regulatory approval. The company cited client demand for institutional-grade risk-management tools as the reason behind this move.
The new contracts will be available in standard and Micro contract sizes, with the Micro variants representing smaller notional values. For example, Micro Bitcoin Cash futures will cover 25 $BCH, while the standard version will represent 250 $BCH. Similarly, Uniswap futures will cover 10,000 $UNI, with Micro Uniswap futures covering 1,000 $UNI.
This expansion comes after CME rolled out futures tied to other altcoins like Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche, and Sui this year. The company's crypto futures and options recorded an average daily volume of 279,800 contracts in the first half of 2026, with an average open interest of 264,600 contracts.
