CME Group Adds Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap Futures to Cryptocurrency Lineup
CME Group is expanding its cryptocurrency offerings by launching futures for Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap on October 19, pending regulatory review. This move will bring the total number of cryptocurrencies available on the CME platform to 11.
The derivatives marketplace will offer both standard and Micro-sized contracts for the two new assets. Bitcoin Cash futures will be available in 250 BCH contracts, while Micro Bitcoin Cash futures will trade in 25 BCH contracts. Uniswap futures will trade in 10,000 UNI contracts, with Micro Uniswap futures at 1,000 UNI contracts.
Giovanni Vicioso, Global Head of Cryptocurrency Products at CME Group, stated that the new contracts are 'designed for greater versatility and capital efficiency,' allowing clients to manage price risk within the company's regulated marketplace.
