CME Group Futures Listing Sends Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap Soaring Over 63%
CME Group's announcement of regulated futures contracts for Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Uniswap (UNI) has sent both assets soaring, with a weekly gain of over 63% each.
The derivatives marketplace said it will launch larger- and micro-sized contracts for BCH and UNI on October 19, pending regulatory review. This expansion responds to strong client demand for institutional-grade risk management tools across high-liquidity altcoin markets.
BCH has seen significant price action in the past week, rising from a low of $213 on September 16 to reach $366 early Wednesday, while UNI began its rally in mid-August following a major golden cross formation and gained momentum after the SEC issued a five-year conditional order allowing eligible platforms to trade tokenized National Market System (NMS) stocks through permissioned AMM liquidity pools.
The CME Group listing has further boosted UNI's price, with whales continuing to buy large amounts of UNI. At the time of writing, BCH was up 30% in the last 24 hours to $347 and UNI traded up 14% to $9.94.
