CME Group Set to Launch BCH and UNI Futures Amid Institutional Demand
CME Group is set to launch Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Uniswap (UNI) futures on October 19, pending regulatory review. This move reflects growing institutional demand for cryptocurrency risk management tools.
The new offerings will include both standard and micro contracts. For Bitcoin Cash, this means trading in volumes of 250 BCH or 25 BCH. Uniswap futures will feature standard contracts of 10,000 UNI or micro contracts of 1,000 UNI.
CME Group has been a pioneer in cryptocurrency derivatives, with its existing futures lineup including BTC and ETH among others. The company's success in this area is evident in the significant trading volume it achieved in the first half of 2026, averaging 279,800 contracts worth approximately $8.3 billion.
The regulatory landscape will play a crucial role in the actualization of these products. Traders should keep an eye on the approval process for CME's Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures. If approved, the launch could lead to increased trading activity and potentially boost prices.
