CME Group Sets Stage for BCH, UNI Futures Launch on October 19
CME Group plans to launch futures contracts for Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Uniswap (UNI) on October 19, pending regulatory review. The new contracts will be part of CME's regulated cryptocurrency derivatives lineup, offering market participants additional tools for managing price exposure.
The exchange will offer standard and Micro contracts for both assets, with BCH futures representing 250 BCH and UNI covering 10,000 UNI. Giovanni Vicioso, Global Head of Cryptocurrency Products at CME Group, stated that the contracts are intended to provide greater versatility and capital efficiency within the company's regulated marketplace.
The launch comes as CME Group's cryptocurrency derivatives business has recorded substantial activity in 2026, with average daily volume reaching $8.3 billion in notional value during the first half of the year. BCH has also seen significant recent market activity, with a 48.2% increase over seven days.
