CME Launches BCH and UNI Futures Amid Growing Demand for Altcoin Derivatives
CME Group is set to launch Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures on October 19, pending regulatory review. This move marks an expansion of CME's regulated derivatives business into the altcoin market.
The exchange will offer both standard and Micro contracts for BCH and UNI. The smaller contracts provide more flexibility for traders looking to hedge portfolios or take directional views without using larger standard contracts.
CME has been expanding its crypto offerings, adding new assets such as Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche, and Sui to its lineup. This move is seen as a response to growing demand for regulated derivatives tied to assets outside Bitcoin and Ether.
