CME Launches Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap Futures on October 19
The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) is expanding its crypto derivatives lineup by launching Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Uniswap (UNI) futures on October 19. This move comes as institutional demand for regulated risk-management tools spreads beyond major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
CME will offer both standard and Micro versions of the contracts, allowing traders to manage exposure to BCH and UNI with different position sizes. The standard BCH contract will cover 250 BCH, while the Micro contract will cover 25 BCH. Uniswap contracts will represent 10,000 UNI, while Micro UNI futures will cover 1,000 UNI.
The additions bring BCH and UNI into a crypto futures suite that already includes Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche, and Sui. CME's global head of cryptocurrency products, Giovanni Vicioso, said the company is seeing demand for broader tools as digital asset markets mature.
