Coin.ph has integrated Tempo, a payments-first Layer 1 blockchain incubated by Stripe and Paradigm, allowing users to transfer Tether (USDT) and USD Coin (USDC) starting August 9.

The integration expands Coins.ph's multi-chain architecture, aiming to meet growing demand for faster, cheaper stablecoin transfers across retail payments, business disbursements, and remittances.

Tempo is an Ethereum-compatible Layer 1 blockchain built specifically for stablecoin payments, using dedicated payment lanes to keep financial transfers isolated from congestion-heavy activity like NFT minting or high-frequency trading. The network settles transactions in roughly half a second and lets users pay gas fees directly in stablecoins like USDT or USDC.

Coins.ph said the integration brings enterprise-grade stablecoin rails to its user base, supporting USDT and USDC on Tempo through its canonical USDT0 and USDC.e formats.
