COIN Stock Rebounds on Strong Crypto Rally
Coinbase stock has rebounded as Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies extend their recovery. The price of COIN broke above a descending trendline, putting the $200 level in focus if momentum continues.
The company's revenue fell by 19% to $1.2 billion in Q2, with its transaction revenue dropping by 22% YoY to $599 million and subscription revenue falling by 12% to $555 million.
However, the recent surge in crypto prices has led to a rise in the Crypto Fear and Greed Index, which has jumped from a year-to-date low of 14 to 73. This metric is calculated by looking at key metrics such as Bitcoin price action, crypto momentum, social media mentions, and activity in the derivatives market.
A sustained crypto market rally would benefit COIN stock, but analysts still believe that the company has more downside to go in the long term, with an average estimate of a 38% drop in revenue for Q3.
