COIN Tokenized Stock Surges on CLARITY Act Hopes

Share

COIN's tokenized stock has been on a tear, surging nearly 28% from its August 18 lows to trade at $185.33.

The catalyst for this move is largely attributed to President Trump's call for Congress to pass the CLARITY Act, which has cleared the House and passed through the Senate Banking Committee, with a procedural floor vote penciled in for September.

This regulatory push has provided a boost to the entire crypto-equity complex, despite Coinbase's Q2 earnings report missing expectations, which included an 18.5% year-over-year collapse in revenue and a non-GAAP EPS loss of $1.36.

However, beneath the surface, structural improvements at Coinbase are worth noting, such as its crypto trading market share hitting 10.3% in Q2, a third consecutive all-time high, and base Layer 2 processing $32 trillion in annualized stablecoin transfer volume.
