Coinbase and Moov Expand Stablecoin Payments to Over 1,000 US Community Banks

Share

Coinbase and Moov have teamed up to expand stablecoin payments to over 1,000 US community banks. Under their agreement, Coinbase will provide digital asset infrastructure while Moov will connect it to payment systems that financial institutions and their customers already use.

Mooov currently services more than 1,000 community banks and credit unions across the U.S., and with this integration, merchants can get acceptance and disbursement without relying on external providers. Moov co-founder and CEO Wade Arnold said, “We built this so the answer comes from their primary FI instead.”

The deal specifies that Moov will integrate Coinbase's stablecoin payments infrastructure into its platform using Coinbase's CDP Custodial Wallet accounts for custody and its Payments API to orchestrate stablecoin transfers. This partnership arrives as the Clarity Act faces opposition from banking groups.
