Coinbase Brings Derivatives Trading to UK Professional Investors

Coinbase has launched derivatives trading for professional investors in the UK, offering over 170 contracts across various assets.

The platform now provides futures, perpetuals, and options for eligible clients, with leverage of up to 50 times. Perpetuals allow users to trade around the clock without an expiry date, while dated futures have a fixed settlement date and cap out at 20x leverage.

Crypto options are available for crypto underlyings, covering calls and puts across single and multi-leg strategies, with payoff diagrams built into the interface. The rollout will be progressive, only allowing professional clients to access these features initially.
