Coinbase Brings Prediction Markets to Its Users
Coinbase has introduced prediction markets to its users, allowing them to trade contracts on future events. This new feature is available on the Coinbase Financial Markets (CFM) platform, which is a registered futures commission merchant with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and a Member of the National Futures Association.
The first market listed is 'Kalmychata vs. Inner Circle: Map 2 - Coinbase', but its outcome is uncertain. The market will close and expire when an outcome occurs or on September 20, 2026, at 3:00 PM GMT+0, whichever comes first.
Traders can buy in 'Yes' or 'No' contracts, with the current price indicating a 65% chance of the event happening. The payout for each correct contract is $1, and fees will be applied to trades.
