Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong is sticking to his long-term vision for Bitcoin's price. In a recent interview, he said that by 2030, the cryptocurrency could reach between $300,000 and $400,000. This prediction marks a downward revision from his previous target of $1 million.

Armstrong cited several factors as driving forces behind this potential growth, including the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, increasing ETF inflows, and broader institutional participation in cryptocurrency markets. He also emphasized the scarcity economics of Bitcoin, which has a limited supply ceiling of 21 million coins.

The math behind Armstrong's target suggests that Bitcoin would need to maintain a compound annual growth rate of approximately 31.6% from its current valuation to reach $300,000 by 2030. This is slightly below the cryptocurrency's historical growth rate of 33.6%. A $400,000 price tag would demand an even more aggressive 41.4% annual growth trajectory.
