Coinbase CEO Sees Bitcoin Soaring to $400,000 by 2030

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong predicts Bitcoin could soar as high as $400,000 by 2030, driven by four major catalysts. The current price of about $78,000 would represent a gain of more than 400%. One key factor is the passage of the CLARITY Act, which aims to establish a clear federal framework for regulating digital assets.

The act's stalled progress in the U.S. Senate has hindered institutional investment in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Once signed into law, it will explicitly define Bitcoin as a digital commodity under the sole jurisdiction of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), shielding it from regulatory threats.

Other catalysts include milder macro headwinds, the next Bitcoin halving in 2028, and the U.S. debt crisis. The halving will throttle production, making Bitcoin even more attractive to investors. As the national debt continues to rise, its scarcity and hard supply limit make it a comparable hedge against inflation.
