Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong reaffirmed his prediction that Bitcoin could reach $400,000 by 2030 in an interview on Money Rehab with Nicole Lapin.

The forecast is based on Bitcoin's historical four-year cycle, which includes periods of rapid growth and correction. According to Armstrong, the next cycle will likely see a similar pattern, with prices potentially tripling from recent levels.

Armstrong pointed out that past cycles have included contractions lasting around a year, but noted that this does not guarantee a repeat performance in the future. He also acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding demand and price movements, stating that it is impossible to predict what will happen.

The $400,000 target would put Bitcoin's value at approximately $8.4 trillion, based on its maximum supply of 21 million coins. However, Armstrong emphasized that this calculation does not imply a necessary increase in new money entering the market, but rather that prices are set by transactions at the margin.
