Coinbase Clears Path for Derivatives Trading as Remittix Tests Crypto-to-Bank Payments
Coinbase's derivatives clearing organization has received approval from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). This move allows Coinbase to complete its derivatives stack alongside its exchange and broker capabilities.
The CFTC registered Coinbase Clearing LLC as a derivatives clearing organization on September 28, 2023. This development is distinct from Remittix's PayFi test, which focuses on connecting supported crypto to a fiat payout through a compatible bank route.
Remittix has begun testing its PayFi service with EUR and USD options for the first cohort of 1,000 RTX holders, who can now access this feature. The company is building outward from the moment when an online seller accepts a stablecoin from a foreign buyer and then pays a local manufacturer.
