Coinbase, one of the leading U.S. cryptocurrency exchanges, has suspended trading for IoTeX (IOTX), a blockchain project focused on decentralized physical infrastructure networks.

The decision to disable IOTX trading was made after Coinbase's regular token review in late August, although no specific listing requirements were publicly identified that IoTeX failed to meet.

IoTeX was initially added to Coinbase in August 2021 and has since evolved its focus from IoT-focused projects to decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN), artificial intelligence, and machine-to-machine commerce, putting it directly in competition with IOTA.

The IoTeX team reassured holders that their tokens remain accessible and can still be withdrawn. Coinbase also confirmed that customer funds will remain unaffected by the suspension.
