Coinbase Earnings Fall Short as Crypto Market Volatility Reaches New Lows
Coinbase's second-quarter earnings report fell short of expectations, with the company posting $1.22 billion in revenue and a net loss of $359 million.
This represents a 14% decline from the previous quarter's revenue, and a shortfall of $70 million compared to analysts' estimates.
Coinbase attributed the decrease in revenue to lower crypto asset prices and market volatility reaching multi-year lows.
The company also reported that total crypto spot trading volume declined by more than 20% from the previous quarter.
