Coinbase has expanded its offerings in Canada by launching regulated crypto derivatives for eligible traders. This move provides Canadian investors with new tools to manage exposure and take directional positions, previously reliant on offshore platforms.

The company now offers 23 perpetual and dated futures tied to various assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. Traders can also access five commodity futures covering gold, silver, and oil, in addition to index futures including COIN50.

Coinbase Financial Markets provides the derivatives through its CFTC-registered futures commission merchant structure. Eligible traders can use leverage of up to 10 times, making these products appealing to sophisticated investors seeking greater flexibility.
