Coinbase Expands to Traditional Finance with US Stock Trading in the UK

Coinbase has expanded its offerings in the UK by launching trading for 4,000 US stocks. This move marks a significant step towards Coinbase's 'Everything Exchange' model, similar to decentralized platform Hyperliquid.

The new feature provides access to select US equities with zero commission and fractional share trading capabilities. Users can fund their trades using Circle's USDC stablecoin or the Great British Pound (GBP), starting from 1 Pound.

Coinbase One members can earn uncapped rewards on their USDC trades. This expansion follows the launch of savings accounts and crypto-linked borrowing products for UK users, offering eligible customers up to 3.75% AER interest (variable) with instant access and FSCS protection.
