Coinbase has launched a new prediction market that allows users to bet on the outcome of a match between Reyes Tirado and Porras. The market, which opened on Coinbase's platform, will close on October 20, 2026, or whenever the event occurs. Participants can buy contracts predicting either a 'Yes' or 'No' outcome, with the price reflecting the market's odds. If the event happens, 'Yes' contracts pay out $1 each, minus the purchase price and fees.

The market has seen significant interest, with a total trading volume of $86,000 and a 24-hour volume of $42,209.96, marking a 263.89% increase. The interest in the market stands at $55,572.52. Coinbase's prediction markets operate 24/7, except during weekly maintenance windows, and are regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

To participate, users need a Coinbase account and must complete onboarding with Coinbase Financial Markets (CFM). This includes identity verification and providing basic income/net worth details. Once approved, users can fund their accounts and start trading using USD or USDC from their main Coinbase account. Payouts are made after settlement, although delays may occur on U.S. bank holidays, weekends, or outside banking hours.
