Coinbase Merges International Exchange Trading with Deribit
Coinbase has completed its migration of international exchange trading to Deribit. The move, which took effect on October 1st, ends trading activity on Coinbase's old international venue and transfers it to the new one.
Affected institutional clients must create new trading connections, settle cycles, and historical records as part of this change. Non-US institutions in selected jurisdictions are impacted, with available products and access depending on account type and location.
Institutions using API or FIX connections need to update their Deribit endpoints and create new API keys, which will not work on the old International Exchange. The migration also affects instrument names and order attributes, resulting in canceled orders that must be recreated on Deribit.
