Coinbase Offers Retail Investors Access to IPOs Through App

Share

Coinbase has opened its IPO access to US retail investors through its app. The service allows eligible customers to request shares at the offer price before open-market trading starts. The company framed this launch as the next step for its Everything Exchange, a platform that enables trading of any asset at any stage of its lifecycle.

Eligible users can now access Oura's initial public offering (IPO) through Coinbase's app. Oura set an estimated price range of $40 to $44 per share for the 50 million common shares it is offering. The company reported revenue of $1,214.5 million for the nine months ended June 30, 2026, a 74% increase from last year.

The IPO access allows customers to request shares at the offer price before open-market trading begins. However, allocations may be filled in full, in part, or not at all based on underwriter supply and demand. Customers can trade the shares once public trading begins.
