Coinbase Opens IPO Access to US Retail Customers with Oura Listing
Coinbase has opened its platform to US retail customers for initial public offerings (IPOs), starting with Oura's $2.2 billion listing at a price range of $40 to $44 per share.
The move allows eligible customers to request shares in the IPO before public trading begins, with Coinbase using an allocation system that favors investors who hold onto their shares for longer periods.
Those who sell allocated shares within 30 days may face a 60-day restriction on accessing upcoming IPOs, while repeated early sales could result in smaller allocations or fewer opportunities.
