Coinbase Opens IPO Allocations to Retail Investors on Everything Exchange
Coinbase has expanded its Everything Exchange platform by allowing eligible U.S. retail investors to request IPO shares through its app, starting with Oura's offering.
The expansion adds primary-market shares to a platform already combining crypto, stocks, derivatives, and prediction markets.
Eligible U.S. customers can now request IPO shares at the IPO price before public trading begins through Coinbase, extending its equities business beyond secondary-market trading and into the primary market.
The company has stated that allocations may be full, partial, or unavailable as demand changes, and early IPO share sales may limit access to subsequent offerings.
