Coinbase Partners with Stablecore to Bring Crypto Services to Thousands of US Banks
Coinbase has partnered with Stablecore to integrate digital asset services into existing bank technology. This partnership will allow over 3,000 US banks and credit unions to offer crypto services without rebuilding their technology stack.
The integration covers custody, trading, and stablecoin payments, and allows banks to add these products within the systems their customers already use. Stablecore provides white-label infrastructure that plugs into existing core banking and digital banking systems, while Coinbase supplies the digital asset infrastructure behind it.
This partnership is significant for smaller financial institutions, as building custody, trading, and stablecoin systems internally would be expensive, slow, and difficult to justify. Integrating a third-party stack allows them to add these products without becoming a crypto technology company themselves.
