Coinbase Posts Net Loss Amid Declining Revenue and Market Conditions
US-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase reported its second consecutive quarterly net loss in Q2 of 2026, despite achieving an all-time high of 10.3% global crypto trading volume market share.
The company's total revenue declined by 14% quarter-on-quarter to $1.22 billion, marking the third straight quarterly drop since peaking at $1.86 billion in Q3 of last year.
Transaction revenue decreased by 21% compared to the previous quarter to $599.2 million, while subscription and services revenue fell 5% to $555.1 million.
Coinbase highlighted growth in its prediction markets segment, which exceeded $100 million in annualized revenue during Q2.
